Treks go from one and a half hours to all day. Each trek may have up to six riders participating. We have a minimum ratio of one guide to four trekkers. All horses are carefully chosen for your size, ability and style of riding.

Fees below are per person, and in New Zealand dollars

One and a Half hours $80.00

Half day rides $100.00

Two and a half hour horse contact time including partnering up. 10.00am and 1.30pm daily (Additional 5.00pm ride during daylight saving). Allow an extra half hour for registration and gearing up.

All Day Rides

Up to 6 hrs riding, includes lunch & partnering up.

Ride to the Maxxx Card

The Maxxx Card applies to the half day rides normally $100.00. With a Maxxx card your fee is reduced to $80.00 for the card holder and any rider you bring with you. The card costs $320.00 and buys your first 4 rides. The Card is valid for 3 months (or all Winter, June to September) and can be used for half day rides at Mt. Lyford or Otahuna. Current Maxxx card holders are eligible for membership of the Natural Horsemanship Club. More details and terms of use.

Exclusive Rides - Your Own Guide

A personal trek guide for you, or your party for as long as you like.

Fee is twice the group ride fee.

Team Building

There is a unique opportunity to train in leadership and team building for businesses and groups, using our partnering up theme.

Events are organised with you to suit your needs.

Bring your own horse

Bring your own horse option is becoming very popular. This involves riding your own horse over our trails with a guide.

Fee is half the usual fee

Discounts for large groups.

Lessons

$60.00 per hour.

Saddle Club

The Saddle Club has six 2 hour sessions held weekly for 5 to 15 year old riders. This is a comprehensive programme, maximum in group up to 4 or 6 riders - $300.00. Optional day clinic with parents during school holidays - $100.00 and overnight camp, $150.00.

Becoming a Confident Horsey Parent (Course)

$145.00.00 per 2 week programme for parents. Optional Riding lessons-$35.00 ($50.00 for one) or Trek $70.00 Full payment at first session. No Refunds

Over the Top Ride to Governors Bay

Ride Over the Top, stay over and return - $320.00. Accommodation and Meals extra.

Cancellation Policy

If your arrangement changes at the last minute call 03 3290160.

Not arriving for a ride without attempting to contact us will cost 50% of the fee for the ride pp.

Cancelling a ride within 12 hours will cost 25% of the fee for the ride pp. This does not apply in the case of bad weather, accident or illness.

Arriving late: Guides will attempt to make your time up, but are not obligated to do so, and you may forfeit your booked time but the fee remains the same.

Adding riders at the last minute: This is possible and worth asking for, but inclusion of that rider is always at the discretion of the guide.

Withdrawing riders at the last minute: Payment to be made in full.
